Tutorial
Today’s tutorial was relatively easy in terms of difficulty; thing such as e-mails, image shack sign up and creating blogs, are all things I already am skilled in. Though I have realized how dependent I have become on Photoshop for image modification when I was forced to use Paint to retrieve screen shots.
Readings
The reading where also very basic in the way of information, The how stuff works video was just going over what I already know such as GPU Easter eggs and having 2 graphic cards working together, or more commonly called SLI for the Nvidia range of cards. Though the PC Lube and Tune site did have some quite interesting pieces of information revolving around various conflicts involving computers, most of them involving Microsoft.
Lecture
It was a basic info session for the lecture today, Helen want on quite a bit about not plagiarizing information and by the way that she went on about it I am going to assume that we shall be receiving a similar speech about it for the rest of the week. Apart from this it was just a general session on computers with things such as having things like a USB flash drive, checking blackboard regularly, as well as a basic outline of the course and how much everything is worth. Also we were shown a list of skills that we should have or will learn through the course.
