Top 10 tips of Presentations

1.Don't read word for word off of a power point.
2.Not having it cluttered by things such as excessive graphics.
3.Having the spelling and grammar correct and relevant to your audience.
4.Engage with those you are speaking to by being an active speaker.
5.Speak clearly and with an engaging tone. (Not going about it in a mono toned voice)
6.choosing the right colours for the presentation layout.
7.Reframe form having excessive bullet points.
8.The KISS rule (Keep It Simple Stupid)
9.Practice before you do it and don't assume u can wing it on the day.
10.Don't become dependant on MS Power point for your speech, Mix it up a little.



The Video of Don McMillan's was extremely funny as well as having valid points in it, which is a very effective way to get your point across. The lecture its self dealt with all the ins and outs of power point usage for speeches and though the facts and figures where a nice piece of information to have it was all just revision for me. Having done country week Debating for 3 years most of it was skills and tips I already know but practice makes perfect they say.
